Netcut is an application that allows us to monitor our network, letting us quickly find out who is connected. The app will provide all relevant information about connected devices, such as their IP address, device name, and MAC address. Additionally, it can notify us if a device has connected in the past and is no longer active.
To properly use Netcut, we first need to install the program, which takes only a few seconds. Moreover, if we haven't done so already, we will need to install WinPcap, a standard tool in the industry that enables access to network layers in Mac environments.
Once the installation is complete, we can run Netcut, which will open directly in the browser, providing all its functions in a single tab. We can cut off Internet access for specific connected devices or limit their connection to a maximum number of hours per day. This last option is handy for parental control.
Netcut is an ideal tool for network monitoring, allowing us to control who connects to our private network. Thanks to its simple interface contained within a browser tab, it won’t interfere with our daily activities.
